We are CNPL - Leadership and Performance

The Centre for Non-Profit Leadership (CNPL) originated as Mentoring Partnership International in 2006, championing quality mentoring through training, consultation and research.  By 2009, it had broadened its scope to inculcating best practices in leadership for the Non-Profit Organisations (NPO) sector, instigating a change to its present name to better reflect its mission of nurturing planned leadership capability for the sector.  It registered as a charity in 2010.

Meet our Leadership and Performance team.

Let's get started

What We Do

Board Advisory

Board Advisory Services (in partnership with the Commissioner of Charities) are complimentary consultation sessions for charities and non-profits on how to strengthen capability and capacity through board renewal and succession planning, and how they can enhance their leadership and board effectiveness, thus strengthening governance practices.

BoardConnect

BoardConnect Series are specially curated sessions where topics of interest are being delivered via a panel of experts (professionals) and practitioners (current Board members or Executive Directors equivalent) in a panel setting or via workshop-style format. This is where participants will be able to ask pressing questions in an interactive and engaging style.

BoardMatch

BoardMatch is our flagship programme to bring diversity and rejuvenation to boards of non-profit organisations (NPOs) by matching senior executives with at least five years of management and leadership experiences from both the public and private sectors to the Boards of NPOs.

BoardPulse

BoardPulse is a self-assessment diagnostic tool for charities and NPO boards to further strengthen their leadership capability and capacity. It provides insights for boards to reflect upon their developmental next steps to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.

Next Gen Changemakers

The Next Gen Changemakers programme aims to support the succession planning of non-profits by providing a reflective onboarding experience that focuses on the key elements of governance, fundraising, and impact measurement.

The programme enables leaders of non-profits to guide their organisations in optimising their internal processes for greater efficiency. It also enhances their impact on strategic planning and capability development. Additionaly, leaders wil learn to use impact measurements to achieve their purpose, build trust, and attract continued support for their mission.

Through a blend of masterclasses, experiential learning, learning journeys, and action projects, participants deepen their understanding of their personal purpose, develop leadership skills, and gain practical insights into creating meaningful impact within their organisation and communities.
