Strong, balanced, and warming – these are the common threads between Rosanna, our head bartender, and her concoctions which she crafts at our martini bar. In partnership with Giving Week, Rosanna is the face behind “Gift of Love and Care”, where all proceeds of this cocktail were donated to our youth beneficiary, Beyond Social Services.
It does not take a cocktail connoisseur to spot the contrasting flavours that make up this concoction. Nordes Gin and rose syrup perfumed the cocktail with a vibrant floral note, while Aperol provided a crisp yet bittersweet flavor. While Aperol has a reputation of being complex to work with for its bitter nature, she has made it a point to put that in the mix to elevate the guests’ experience of this cocktail. “I’d like the drink to taste sour, bitter and floral, so that our guests can experience a balance with everything in life,” shared Rosanna.
Between the suave shaking movements and attending to the guests behind the bar, she sees each served cocktail as an opportunity to put a smile on someone’s face. If we could pick a bar staple that could best represent Rosanna, we will have to say lime – the quintessential ingredient that can always be relied on when mixing drinks. Be it a group of friends rejoicing in a TGIF celebration or someone in need of a good drink after a bad day, Rosanna is dedicated to making someone’s day.
Therefore, it is no wonder that she was thrilled to be a part of this Giving Week partnership. “I am blessed to be able to be a part of this, where I can inspire people through my creations and, at the same time, contribute to a charitable cause.” As our proud Head Bartender since 2011, Rosanna’s craft and creations have made us feel both warm and inspired.
