A Company of Good Fellowship networking dinner with a special guest and a special announcement – two Mentors of the Fellowship announcing their partnership for a through-train training and employment programme for persons with disabilities.
The Company of Good is a shining example of how we can build our future Singapore together – with each company contributing their skills, time and money; not working alone, but in partnership with others; bringing your staff along with you in this journey of giving; and improving the lives of those around us, regardless of race, religion or background.

Organisations exist and operate in an intricate ecosystem of entities from the social and public spheres, so to do good well it is essential to understand the roles they play and the resources they bring to the table. Beyond just a networking session, the Company of Good Fellowship Networking Dinner brings these varied perspectives together for Fellows to appreciate how they can continue to work with all three sectors.
Samsui Supplies and Standard Chartered Bank, who are both Champions of Good 2018, met through the Company of Good Fellowship as Mentors for the programme. They soon found themselves collaborating by leveraging on their respective resources and strengths to give back to the community – first by establishing a central kitchen in Changi Prison Complex with the support of Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE), which would engage up to 30 inmates to provide up to 6,000 nutritious meals a day to various nursing homes and social service organisations in Singapore.
For the project at Enabling Village, Samsui Supplies will contribute its F&B expertise in training and in outfitting the kitchen, while Standard Chartered Bank will contribute S$160,000 which provisioned for both kitchen facility and equipment retrofits, and updated training modules and processes that the model is based on. With their network of F&B partners and with the support of SG Enable, the trainees, upon completion of the training, will be placed and and supported in their new job environments.
