A monthly service where registered BoardMatch volunteers can view and express interest for charity board and committee roles directly through the giving.sg platform.

Frequently asked questions from charities

All registered Singapore charities and non-profits qualify to use the BoardMatch service.

Opportunities are live for 1 month on the giving.sg platform. You will be connected to shortlisted volunteers during and/or after this 1-month period.  

Yes, all charities can benefit from BoardMatch regardless of size and resources. The CNPL BoardMatch team will do a preliminary assessment and connect you with shortlisted volunteers, saving time and effort for charities. However, please note that the final assessment for placement shall be the responsibility of the respective charities. 

Charities using the BoardMatch service gain access to a pool of pre-screened board-ready skills-based volunteers. Charities may also request an extension or re-list their opportunities if they have not been able to successfully match suitable volunteers. 

Frequently asked questions from volunteers

BoardMatch is open to individuals with at least 5 years of management and leadership experience who are keen to contribute their expertise to a charity board. 

The registration process on FormSG and giving.sg takes about 1–2 weeks. Once registered, volunteers can express interest directly in board and committee roles that match their skills and interests. 

Charities will then review applications according to their own practices and requirements. From registration to placement, the overall process typically takes around 3 months. 

Yes. You may apply for multiple roles, and it will be up to the charities to assess which role(s) are the best fit for you. 

New opportunities are listed approximately every 1–2 months.
