Design For Community Action
Human-Centred Design For Communities
The Design for Community Action (DCA) programme at NVPC was created by the Community Matters team to introduce Human-Centred Design (Design Thinking) as a methodology to help communities co-create workable solutions for their operational challenges.
The DCA differs from other design thinking programmes within the ecosystem in that participants are encouraged to own the process – which translates into defining success on their own terms, and taking charge of solutioning, with active support from our corporate partners and the Community Matters team.
Corporate Partners
The BNP Paribas Design Factory Asia was set up in June 2017 to create a space where all business lines within BNP Paribas can co-create. Teams formed by individuals from across the bank work together to solve client problems and address business needs. The teams are guided by agile methodologies and design thinking principles to bring these solutions to life.
Kearney is a US management consulting firm founded in 1926 as a branch of McKinsey & Company. The company became independent in 1939, and currently has offices in more than 40 countries worldwide. Through this collaboration with NVPC, they aim to enable local NPOs to problem-solve organisational challenges through reframing or rethinking existing processes or strategies.
Amazon.com, Inc. is a multinational technology company focusing on e-commerce, cloud computing, online advertising, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. In collaboration with AWS, a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs, the Guild 4 Good programme was launched to help NPOs access hands on technical skills from AWS experts to solve specific business problems using cloud technology.
