- 13 charities completed the Unlocking Growth: Actionable Strategies for Digital Fundraising, engaging in workshops to elevate their fundraising capabilities.
Singapore, 12 September 2024 – National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), in partnership with Ant International have successfully concluded the Unlocking Growth: Actionable Strategies for Digital Fundraising initiative. Designed to strengthen the digital fundraising capabilities of charities on NVPC’s giving.sg platform, this collaboration featured a curated series of workshops, and provided participating charities with the tools, insights, and industry expertise needed to thrive in an increasingly digital landscape, enabling them to drive greater impact and innovation.
The initiative leveraged Ant International’s expertise in digital financial services to equip non-profit organisations with capabilities to navigate the digital giving landscape, using giving.sg as the medium. Over the course of the programme, 22 participants from 13 charities explored growth marketing frameworks, gained insights from real-world case studies and creative strategies that can be applied to their fundraising efforts, and participated in a fundraising pitch challenge. Notable outcomes included optimised digital engagement strategies, enabling charities to reach wider audiences, run more efficient campaigns, and ultimately amplify their impact for the benefit of the communities they serve.
On the conclusion of this initiative, Mr Lenard Pattiselanno, Senior Director of Community Leadership & Partnerships, NVPC, said “Cross-sector collaborations like these are vital in driving innovation and creating lasting social impact. We have witnessed incredible progress by the participating charities and are optimistic about the outcomes these initiatives will bring – not only to the charities themselves but to the many beneficiaries they serve. NVPC remains committed to supporting and empowering charities, particularly those on giving.sg, with more of such programmes in the pipeline to enhance their capabilities.”
Said Ms Carrie Suen, Senior Advisor of Global Affairs & Sustainability Strategies, Ant International, “We are proud to partner with NVPC on this initiative and even prouder of all the participants in embracing new knowledge and digital tools to adapt in this digital age and create an even bigger impact through their fundraising efforts. Ant International will continue to work with more partners to support even more impact organisations in their digital transformation journeys, and jointly promote more inclusive and sustainable growth.”
Said Vanessa Loh, General Manager, Guide Dogs Singapore (GDS), “The fundraising workshops organised by Ant International and NVPC have provided the GDS staff with valuable insights on enhancing our online presence for fundraising. As a smaller charity, we understand the importance of digital platforms, and the knowledge gained from these sessions has affirmed that we are on the right path. We look forward to applying the strategies shared by Ant International to refine our campaigns and better connect with donors who align with GDS’s mission to empower the visually impaired community.”
Said Francesca Yong, Assistant Manager, Fundraising, Yong-en Care Centre, “Participating in this programme provided invaluable insights into crafting compelling campaigns and best practices for better engagement. It gave us the tools and confidence to refine our current and future campaigns, and we are now better equipped to create impactful campaigns that resonate with our supporters, helping us continue supporting the elderly and the under-resourced in Chinatown and beyond.
This collaboration is part of NVPC’s ongoing efforts to bring together our different stakeholders, such as businesses on the Company of Good network and charities on giving.sg, where critical capabilities can be developed and skills can be strengthened, to help forge a stronger giving culture in Singapore. In the coming months, the participants are expected to start campaigns on giving.sg, putting their newly acquired skills into action.
